Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole has endorsed a five for each penny increment in the Consolidated Medical Salary Scale of restorative specialists in Edo State. The Governor made the declaration when he got the National Secretary General of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and Executives of the State Chapter of the union in Government House, Benin City. Oshiomhole said;
"I trust wages and installment of wages is a privilege and not a benefit you administer when you are agreeable and I need us to hold the best brains in our healing centers.
I have contended in already that our specialists are not second rate compared to some other specialist including those working for the Federal Government and subsequently, there is customarily no motivation behind why our specialists ought to gain N1 not as much as whatever other specialist of the same capability in some other part of the nation. "Having done my home work today, it doesn't make a difference what the suggestions are, we will expand the wages of Medical Doctors by 5% so it will go from 90% to 95%.
